A noobie question and a hi all!

Postby Scrotey » Tue Jul 20, 2010 4:51 pm

Hi all, my first post here...

I recently received a bundle of subbeuto joy from my mate's loft and a few of us cracked it out, West Germany vs Liverpool awesome! We had a real hoot.

The only trouble was a rules querie and Im hoping you guys can help :)

Ignoring the defense for this question, if I have player "A" with 3 flicks still remaining in possession, player A takes 2 flicks and then on the 3rd flick he kicks the ball upfield, *but*, the ball doesnt hit the base of player "B" on the same team...

My question is does the possession swap as the ball wasn't passed to another of my team (ie actually hitting his base) -or- can player "B" now have a go at the ball as any player on my team can have a shot at the ball as long as he hits the ball first and takes no more than 3 flicks

I hope that makes sense...

Kind regards
Joe

Possession is retained and player 'B' or any other can play at the ball. Possession is only lost if the ball is missed or it hits an opponents player, or is played out of play.

Brilliant, that makes more sense for runs upfield ;)

Thanks also for the speedy answer!

It's the equivalent of playing the ball into space for somebody to run on to.

Thanks for the warm welcome chaps! :)

I live down south, in Plymouth - don't think there's many clubs down here, but a few of us like a gentle flick and a few beers ;)

Bit of an update: went for a new Astro-turf pitch and a few zeugo teams and metal goals from Subbeutoworld - awesome, woke the wife a few times lol

Tomorrow night=footynight, Man Utd will own Brazil (fingers crossed)!

Cheers
Joe

There's a few flickers round Torbay, Joe, so not that far away. And soon to be expanded by 1 as I am moving there in the next couple of months. :D
