Thought i'd start a new thread in here as the last one was kind of taken over by a load of pish posts (as usual) at least in here i can delete said pish!
Basically, i'll put small updates in here about bigger updates on the tournament website.
If you're interested in playing e-mail or pm me.
The tournament website is http://www.edinburghgp.110mb.com

Mike, I will clean up the said pish as I was the main offender
edit, done now, do you want to put the details back on the main page? I will also make changes so that National chairmen can do the editing themselves on the FISTF forums. Apologies for hijacking the thread

Well that buggered that up, top seed at Knighton satellite and only went and won the group.

What's the format and likely playing standard of the comp?
First played in 1968 and still as crap as I was back then.

A fair step above the playing standard at the Yorkshire IO.
Format - I'll leave Burnsie to say. Are you thinking of entering Open or Veterans ?

Probably neither if the standard's that high! Reckon I'll stick to the competitions at the Wildcats for now.

Looking at groups of 4 hopefully!
The standard will be quite high but you'd learn more at this tournament than you would in a year of playing at your club.
There will be obligatory Plate competitions as well!

There's only so much you can learn in three games.
Just concentrate on having a nice time in Edinburgh, John.
